If your car or van is over three years old, then you’ll need to start organising your annual MOTs. An MOT tests for a vehicle’s safety and road worthiness, along with its exhaust emissions. In spite of our incredibly experienced team who are ready and waiting to help in any way they can, we understand that an annual MOT can make a lot of motorists nervous. Our aim however, is to make your experience as painless as possible. Our trained testers will be happy to go through any failures or “advisory items” that may occur and in most instances, we’ll be able to repair or replace the necessary parts on the day to ensure your vehicle is of MOT standards. This can all be done without your vehicle leaving the premises. The fact that we’re one of the longest running MOT test centres in Manchester only emphasises the experience and knowledge we have in this area. Our fully fitted workshops

Here at F Dunn & Sons, we offer all classes of MOT from IV and VII MOT testing. Our fully fitted workshops allow us to inspect your car and make any necessary repairs and/or replacements there and then thanks to our fully equipped workshops. We’re proud to say that we use the very latest technology to inspect every vehicle and as such are able to give the most thorough inspections to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road. With over 80 years’ experience and ATA licensed mechanics, we continue to provide the reliable service our regular customers have come to know and love.

Full, Interim Servicing and Oil Change Service

We offer both interim and full services here at our garage in Manchester. As qualified mechanics, we advise that you have your car serviced at least annually or every 12,000 miles however, if you drive more frequently or cover a lot more miles then we would suggest you have interim services every 6 months or every 6000 miles in order to prevent any serious problems occurring and subsequently developing into something more serious over the year. Interim services consist of 27 check points including exhausts and electrics whereas a full service contains an additional 14 checks which include air filters, wheel bearings and more. If your car simply needs an oil change however, that’s something we can also cater for. Here at F Dunn & Sons, there’s no job too big or too small.
